How Did I Get Here?
My journey into the world of technology began during my studies in High School. However, it was my deep curiosity for the tech space that propelled me to explore the realms of Software Engineering, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. I was always fascinated by the potential of technology to solve complex problems and make a positive impact on the world.
My Story - The Journey So Far
My early fascination with how things worked led me to study General Science in high school. But even then, I knew I wanted more than just textbook knowledge. I was hungry for practical, real-world application. That hunger followed me to university, where I pursued a BSc in Telecommunication Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
As I moved deeper into the program, I began to feel a disconnect, the theoretical nature of the course left me craving more hands-on experience. I voiced this to my academic supervisor, who explained that the Ghanaian system builds analytical rigor before introducing practice. That made sense, but I wasn't satisfied.
The turning point came in 2022, when I discovered the Kibo School of Technology, where I enrolled in a BSc in Computer Science. This was a gateway to practical computing. I dove into programming, software development, and problem-solving. Then came ALX Africa's Software Engineering program, an intensive 15-month journey that pushed me even deeper into real-world, collaborative software projects.
Through it all, I discovered my deep love for data, from my first internship analyzing spreadsheets, to building analytics dashboards for a family business. Yet, this passion quickly expanded to include the protection of that data. With the rise of AI and cloud computing, I realized that cybersecurity wasn't just important; it was essential.
